A great gathering place for friends. They offer live music and host events. The bourbon is flawless, the gin is citus forward which makes one of the best G&Ts around. The bloody mary is a fan favorite. Great atmosphere with a fun staff!

We attended the Hotdogs & Gin Duo with a friend. Great show as usual. Ordered pizza from nearby & they delivered right to us. Had beers, great staff. Never knew Phelps NY was so lively in a good way!!

Had a group of 10 with lots of different tastes and found Smokin' Tails on Yelp- exceeded expectations is an understatement! Everything from the Bourbon to the Sipping Cream to Martinis and Spiked Teas were fantastic. Did a Bourbon Tasting everything is so smooth. Had a great time with some folks we met. The servers were the owners which is unique and added to the story of the place. Will stop again. The place had a sports bar feel with the game on.

Fun little adventure when we ran into this place.  Immediately greeted by Pete, and later found out he was the owner.  Check out their logo, Cop chasing bootleggers. Smoke off dual pipes as they outrun cops hence the name, "smoking tails distillery".  I sampled the creams abs found all of them delightful.  I asked if they offered a sample pack of some sort, but they do not. Unfortunately, smaller bottles just cost too much to procure.  

Service was wonderful.  Beers available.  Mixed drinks available with their liquors.  Fun times. Something for everyone!

This place was recommended the owners of Runaway Blue , and it was such a cool experience. We walked in and the owner Peter immediately greeted us and talked about doing a tasting. We followed him to a bar in the back room. With 5 different tastings to choose from I went with the sippin cream madness!
Chocolate was tasty, orange creamsicle was so spot on in flavor, strawberry and cream was smooth but their butter pecan was amazing! I had to buy one!
Peter told us how he started the distilled and  his experience on the show master distiller and winning. Loved their pre prohibition bourbon with the recipe from 1919!!

This distillery is special. The ownership is present and really has the passion for bourbon that most don’t have. Their prices and offerings are second to none!!!! They are pushing the needle and making an effort to make the finger lakes the best destination in upstate New York!!!!!!

This is an amazing gem in Phelps, NY. AWESOME whiskey and signature cocktails. Come try them for yourself. Very Friendly and attentive staff. Very clean and have 2 bars in the place. They have great bands and events. My husband and I  love this place. We go often. Try it yourself. Thanks to the owners and staff for this AWESOME place. Keep up the great work.
